Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate PHP Developer Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you won't just be watching from the sidelines—you will be writing code that goes into Ambar ERP, a live product used by retail and wholesale textile businesses.

This is a perfect opportunity for a fresh graduate or final-year student who wants to transition from academic coding to real-world software development. You will work closely with senior developers to build new features, optimize database queries, and fix bugs.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

• Backend Development: Assist in developing and maintaining server-side logic using PHP.
• Database Management: Write and optimize SQL queries to fetch and manage data for inventory, sales, and reporting modules.
• Bug Fixing: Troubleshoot issues reported by clients and implement fixes to ensure software stability.
• Feature Implementation: Work on specific modules of the ERP (e.g., billing, barcode generation, stock management) under supervision.
• Testing: Perform basic unit testing to ensure your code is error-free before deployment.

What We Are Looking For

Mandatory Skills

• Strong basics in PHP: You understand variables, loops, arrays, functions, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Database Knowledge: You can write basic SQL queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, JOINs).
• Web Fundamentals: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Problem-Solving: You know how to Google errors and debug code logically.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus)

• Experience with a PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter).
• Knowledge of Version Control (Git/GitHub).
• Previous personal projects (e.g., a simple inventory system, a blog, or a student management system).
