ERP Sales Manager / Executive (Textile & Retail Specialist)
Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Professional to lead the expansion of Ambar ERP in the retail and wholesale textile sector.
In this role, you will be the face of our solution for textile businesses. You won't just be selling software; you will be helping textile store owners streamline their inventory, manage complex variants (size, color, fabric), and modernize their operations. If you understand the pain points of a saree showroom or a fabric wholesaler and know how technology can solve them, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Identify and target high-potential clients in the textile industry, including retail showrooms, wholesale distributors, and boutique chains.
- Conduct cold calling, field visits, and networking to generate qualified leads.
- Map out key decision-makers (Store Owners, Procurement Managers, IT Heads) within target accounts.
2. Consultative Selling & Demos
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to understand the client's current struggles (e.g., dead stock, barcode issues, multi-branch management).
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations of Ambar ERP, highlighting specific features like Lot/Batch Management, Barcode Generation, and Fabric Roll Tracking.
- Articulate the ROI of moving from legacy software or manual ledgers to Ambar ERP.
3. Closing & Negotiation
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
- Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate pricing and terms to maximize deal value while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Work with the technical team to answer queries regarding migration, implementation timelines, and hardware requirements.
4. Market Intelligence
- Stay updated on industry trends in the textile market (e.g., GST changes, new retail formats).
- Provide feedback to our product team regarding features requested by textile clients to keep Ambar ERP competitive.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales. Experience selling SaaS, ERP, POS, or Accounting Software is a major plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the textile, apparel, or retail industry is highly preferred. You should understand terms like "SKU," "Stock Aging," and "Challan."
- Tech-Savviness: Ability to learn software quickly and demonstrate it confidently without technical assistance.
- Communication: Strong presentation and negotiation skills in regional languages and English.
The "Ideal" Candidate
- Has an existing network of contacts in the wholesale/retail textile market.
- Is comfortable visiting potential clients on-site (field sales) as well as conducting demos via Zoom/Google Meet.
- Is "hunter" minded—motivated by closing deals and earning commissions.
